This Workshop is open to a small group who would like to explore the ancient sacred art of Geometry (‘sacred’ referring to the primary nature of all that is).
We will draw geometric diagrams and patterns, as well as making 3D models based on the Platonic and Archimedean solids, and referring to, and using, materials from Keith Critchlow’s legacy within Wimbledon Art Studios.
Materials and drawing equipment will be provided, but please bring your own if you have them (compasses, pens and coloured pencils, rulers).
No previous experience is necessary.
The Workshop will be led by Jon Allen, Architect and Geometer, who spent 22 years working with Professor Keith Critchlow in architectural practice, teaching and research.
Participants may find Jon’s two books useful: Drawing Geometry and Making Geometry
(both published by Floris Books).
